Bob, good question in relationship to Nasdaq BB stocks.

I believe that the market makers have even more flexability in the US than the Canadian ones do, Hence why their are large spreads in a lot of US BB stocks.

Nice to be a US trader buying and selling short all day long with a .50 cent spread, work out the numbers on a stock that trades a little volume, any time you get a buyer you short at the offer, anytime you get a seller you cover the short at the bid.

You can short a stock at any price as long as your prepared to cover the short, normally you have to have 1.5 times equity or cash in your account as a short cover allowance.
