Walter - I could be wrong about this, but I believe I heard Woody say at one time some years ago that once a patent has been granted, it is public information. However, a pending patent is NOT. By NOT having a patent granted, a company can keep certain information from public scrutiny, and quite often a technology company will deliberately NOT get a patent for this reason. If you look at some electronic devices, you'll see "Patent Pending" stamped on them. This is done for definite reason, usually, and it is intentional on the company's part. I hope this ends your futile search for the illusive patents.

[Someone correct me if I'm wrong about the above. Maybe I dreamed up that idea.<g>]
