It appears that the Japanese are trying to prove you wrong; though gold seems to be holding above 287. The stronger YEN didn't give it lasting strength so maybe the weaker YEN won't drive it down - hope, hope, hope.

In any event, I was going to take issue in a friendly way, if I may, with your comment that "Nobody in their right mind will ever invest in something that remains the same". Wouldn't it become a better investment (better insurance) for those with weaker currencies and wouldn't it make the low cost miners more attractive?

While I'm at it would you give me your comments on my observations concerning out ratio in my post 278 (1/31). My conclusion is that one should look for a spike down in the ratio as a strong indication that the market is bottoming.
