It is hard to invest in companies that don't have the dominant market positions like INTEL and MSFT-----even Cisco is suspectible to attack on its earnings, IMHO. All as long as PC growth continues, these two should do great. I did on even mention the like of Nortel and Lucent which will also face severe pricing pressures.

I have to say MSFT is the best stock out there. I realize there is the DOJ case but even a bad result is not going to slow them down. Their lawyers are already working on the appeals---will drag this thing out for a long time. Chances are we could see some settlement that won't hurt the company but will curb some of their practises.
I think they went overboard in their paranoia. Bill Gates should have realized that the consumers were in "love" with his company and that accounted for a lot of their growth and acceptance of Office as the standard.
