Guess again. In fact, it's in the top 10 at computershopper.com, as reported here on this thread just today. It is the top selling item in its category. That's close enough for me.

OEM Zip is still by far the most common removable built-in drive, available from all 10 of the top 10 computer manufacturers, including the ones who also offer SuperDisk in some models. Superdisk is not even in one tenth as many machines.

Sorry to have to point out facts to you. I hope this doesn't shake up your carefully constructed reality.
