LAC ROCHER, QUEBEC NVE.V
707 CLAIMS STAKED Vancouver Stock Exchange S.E.C. Exemption 12(g)3-2(b) Trading Symbol NVE.V File No. 82-3822 Standard & Poors Listed February 16, 1999 NovaWest Resources Inc. ( the “Company”) “Symbol NVE-VSE”, is pleased to announce that with its partner Goldeye Explorations Ltd Symbol GEYE-CDN”, the companies have now staked and registered a total of 707 claims in the Lac Rocher area of Northwestern Quebec. The companies staking crews remain actively persuing additional claims in the Lac Rocher area. The claims define four blocks transected by favourable structures and underlain by magnetically anomalous lithologies considered as prime targets to host magmatic sulphides as pentlandite (Ni) enriched as recently encountered by Nuinsco. Their discovery borehole LR-99-01 intersected both interstitial to net textured, globby and massive, coarse grained sulphides within a phase layered (laccomorphic) intrusion. The mineralized intersection was reported to be 61.5m grading 0.49% Cu, 1.69% Ni, 0.04% Co, 0.226 g/t Pt + Pd. A basal 3.2m section of massive sulphides characterized by large (15 to 20mm) eyes' of pentlandite graded 10.8% Nickel and when included within a 37m interval graded 2.47% Ni. A property map, once completed, based on published and in-house data, including superimposed tectonics and claim locations will be made available upon request in the near future.
