Christine, That's interesting what you said about pair bonding. I hadn't heard that before. But it seems that there are also cases where a couple maintains a long term relationship relatively effortlessly. So I've often wondered whether some people just get lucky and find a good match? Would more couples last longer than three years if they were just more compatible? About your other points, I can comment on my personal experience. I have inevitably gotten emotionally involved anytime sex was involved. I've always had my doubts about whether this was normal male behavior though. Perhaps because there are other male traits that I don't share, such as an interest in locker room talk. Regarding a loss of interest in sex and romance, that hasn't happened to me (I'm 41). But there is a difference in that there is no longer the single-minded urge to get laid that there was in my younger days. As for women becoming more sexual as they get older, I believe it has to do with experience. Skipper
