Kemble: DELL will rise AGAIN....

When I was flying to the West Coast today I found a bookstore in the St. Louis Airport (right next to Starbucks). This store had just received a promotional copy of Michael Dell's new book: Direct from DELL..They let me buy it and I sure didn't mind paying full price....Oh baby...I spent half of the 4 hour flight to San Jose engrossed in THE BEST BUSINESS BOOK I have read in years...I have turned down dozens of pages and highlighted A TON already. The DELL model, philosophy and long term vision is explained so well...Michael is humble, articulate and effective. This book may be like a condensed version of your DELL bibles !! I had so much confidence in DELL by the time I heard about the conf. call and earnings report.....I took it in stride.....DELL is still young....Michael is committed to CONSTANT and NEVER ENDING IMPROVEMENT...I will be relaying quotes from this great new book on the thread....I'll leave you with one:

MD at the very end....<<...there's no such thing as a company that executes perfectly forever. But the real key to our success comes from within. It comes from knowing our strengths and being open to experimentation. It comes from the determination to learn from our mistakes and look for ways to constantly improve.>>

Hmmm......I sure wouldn't bet against Michael and his team over the LONG TERM..

regards,

Scott
