<Congressman Rick Boucher, R-Virginia. He will address how US government regulations will affect ADSL and the future of the industry.>
Biting my tongue Steve & thanks
<state of DSL -both full rate and lite,>
That would be interesting.
<In addition attendees will hear from representatives from the FCC
(more tongue biting)
and Stanford University.>
Wonder who that might be.
<Covad, Allot Communications, Westell, Williams, Concentric Networks, Phoenix Group, and Telecom Partner Ltd.>
Read a most interesting article on Williams last week & assume this is the same group. Buying, installing, wholesaling or leasing fiber seems to be working out well for some of these outfits.

Curly,
me thinks you are right but I still think adsl & cable modems will co exist. RBOC's data revs are growing so its no skin off their backs yet. AT&T's Armstrong is still saying its gonna take up to 5 years for wide spread voice, data, & video on the same line & the Bells will be big players in the wireless arena as well. Read an interesting IT jobs forecast in IW recently & the Midwest seems to be the place to be. You guessed it, one of the top demands, cable modem designers.
Catch you folks later,
