John, I know you are quite bearish and that a lot of your pessimism is based on those nasty charts from the 80's and early 90's. They are frightening and I doubt that anyone on this thread would have the fortitude to outlast (or outlive !) a recurrence of that pattern.
I just think a lot of pressure is building up for higher oil prices and a lot of powerful forces in this world (like Big Oil and OPEC) want higher prices and will do what they have to do to get them. A lot of oil bears are saying that the situation will never change and my experience tells me that situations are always changing. It always seems that yesterday's dogs are today's darlings and vice-versa. These dogs certainly qualify as pure mutts. Why can't they be tomorrow's darling's? They are a critical part of one of the biggest businesses in the world, one that probably does more business in a day than E-commerce does in a year.
