Hi Frank. There is a Brex thread here on SI. It explains the relative relationships reasonably well. Basically, Brex was to acquire 50% of POD. They were not able to pay all the money. Then comes Kinross. After seemingly much negotiation, Brex ended up with 50% of MIQ's share of POD ( 25% if K gets 1/2 of total), with no more financial obligations. If you check the directors of both BX, and MIQ, you'll find some interesting similarities. I hope this helps.

Take care

joe
