ZP: At first, the PCI was primary by default. With this setup, after I installed the Matrox card which came separately, I very easily got 2 online. I used PCI1. Put the 2nd ATI in PCI2. The 3rd monitor came online & the 2nd monitor went off. Then I went at it from either end, alternating slots, random combinations of slots...ad nauseam. 3 knocked out 2 or 3 didn't come on. The secondary (at this point) in the AGP slot was a constant. It came up every time. Each time I removed the yellow exclamation mark device(s) from the Device Manager before starting over. Then I read Sapper's link more closely & was delighted to get the AGP slot functioning as primary. This brought up problem 2. The ATI card won't function as a secondary. I couldn't even get 2 monitors going. I performed the recommended fix. It didn't work. This is about where I am. Put the cards back in my Aptiva, where for some reason they do work together (since July). The Aptiva has only 2 PCI slots & I thought all I needed was more slots! Yikes. d.alexander
