LOD, do you know what absolutely fascinates me? All, and I mean all of Burke's observations about Dell and computers are wrong. Every single one of them.

And yet his tribe of voles comes here gloating as if he had somehow, in his infinite wisdom, foreseen a $300MM gap in revenues from expectations, and that this is an inevitable harbinger of the doom of computers.

So to set the record straight:

1. Dell gained market share in every area;
2. Revenues for the PC market (ex-unix) are increasing rapidly;
3. FWIW, DSO decreased to 36 days.

Then the Burke minions will undoubted crow that all evidence notwithstanding, Burke sees all and knows all. That's what he tells them and that's what they choose to believe.
