I could hardly be more appalled and repelled by PC; but what does that have to do with my questions about you and lesbians? My old aunt died before the era of PC, she was just a nice, intelligent person trying to have a life under difficult circumstances, such as being persecuted by my grandmother, her mother, who couldn't comprehend that my aunt's homosexuality did not make her evil. As a result, my aunt, who had a chronic illness that made it necessary for her to live with Grandma and Grandpa from the time she was in her thirties, lived as lonely a life as anyone could lead. She was not allowed to bring friends home for supper, although she made one brave and very sad attempt to date a man, and during that period, Grandma was most hospitable.
A family story.
What are you saying about homosexuals? You think they are bad? Surely not, Sidney! You do know that such attitudes give a bad name to anti- PC thinkers? It makes the irrationality of the PC-forces seem based on reality, instead of on paranoia plus a victim mentality seasoned with self-interest. |
