This is my first post in two months...to Mohan, LoD...haha, remember me?
First, Time Traveler, I highly doubt that Niles or Kumar is talking directly to Michael Dell. Analysts generally have contact with the financial department on matters concerning revenue. Michael Dell is like the captain of the ship, overseeing the whole operation without handling the nitty picky details. Do you actually hear MD reciting the conference call notes? Hell, he barely answers questions from the sell side clowns.
I have been waiting for this day of reckoning for at least 1.5 quarters now.
Higher component prices (I mentioned that in November), direct selling by others (mentioned that), unsustainable growth rate (I mentioned that in November). We saw it affect the stock last November the day after earnings, but thereafter the market ignored it. This time it's for real...I blew out my most recent DELL position I bought in the 60's the moment Niles made his call. I won't even trade it for a while now.
With that said, anybody who has an ounce of brain matter will use the impending sell off as a buying opportunity. If this stock goes into the 60's, it will probably be one of the best buys the market has had to offer in the last few years.
So I'll leave it at that.
Good luck DELL fanatics...but, I told you so! |
