Ooo-oooo I got an IDEA, Nix the Video, goto DVD instead. This way we can trade on our computers and play the Video back in a small window with audio going. If we want we put in the DVD player hooked up to the TV. A DVD drive for the computer is less than 200 and is the current direction. One for the TV is about 300, and (you can rent movies for them at blockbuster).
But the biggest reason to go to DVD is high speed Indexing, so we could have a table of contents and topics and indexed and shoot over to that section that we need almost immediately. Yup I like this idea, a side benefit is that currently there is no easy duplicator of DVDs. It can be done, I am sure but you must go to a professional place, and they would question the duplication of anything copywrited. So DVD has all these benefits plus it discourages rampant duplication.
Only downside is the requirement to have a DVD player, which I don't yet, but hey weren't we all going to get one anyway. wolff .............wait I just got another thought, with DVD you have the capability to store Pages of data, these scanned pages could be retrived and printed, You could have graphs, Slides, Still Pictures, forms, everything. Wooo-hooo DVD is the way to go, bigtime! |
