Nicholas seems to be a very controversial individual.
I am new to this TA game. Lurking on this and other threads for about a year. My first thoughts about TA are that it provided a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow that I just have to walk over and pick up. One problem, I can't quite find the end of the rainbow. I guess I was similar in thought processes to Nicholas in that I thought if I followed the threads, the "gurus" would tell me exactly where the end of the rainbow is, how much gold is there, and what equipment (indicators etc.)I need to pick it up. The first few months of study, trial and error, slight capital loss, reading, rereading revealed that I need to find my own rainbow, with my own pot of gold. To that end, I developed one approach (system) that seemed to work from mid October on, but not appropriate now. Since mid-December I think I have come up with something else that seems a little more robust. Now I am spending an awful lot of time trying to refine it so the percentages are a little more in my favor. Tough to do with family, work etc.
So Nicholas reminds me of me of one to two years ago. I am still striving to get my mindset like that of Richard, Dave, Andy, Sean Etc. I can see the questions they ask/answer, and spend many hours looking at their thoughts and how it applies to the approach I am currently working on.
Just my thoughts.

P.S. - Arctic Mike - It appears we are from the same neck of the woods. Much nicer now than a couple of days ago I'm sure you'll agree. |
