Hot News from Technor: Location-Based Information Service in Your GSM Phone AU-System Exhibits CellPoint System at GSM World Stockholm February 17 -- At this year's GSM World Congress in Cannes, CellPoint Systems AB and AU-System will jointly present a system which gives the user of a GSM phone access to an advanced location-based information service. The technology behind the solution is CellPoint System's GSM-based technology for positioning along with AU-System's Wireless Internet Gateway, a component in the market leading AviSIM OTA product. As a user, you will have a menu appear on your phone for information services. In this menu, you will be able to specify different types of information, for example, services, entertainment, shopping, etc. The user can browse through the menu until they find the desired information. For example, where is the nearest subway station, service station, or which movies are being shown at nearby cinemas? The information presented to the user will be taken from a database and will be based on the user's location. An inquiry being made at one location will not receive irrelevant information for other locations. AU-System Mobile and CellPoint System have signed a cooperation agreement in the development and marketing of this technology. AU-System's primary owners are Ericsson and Telia and has 500 employees supporting more than 40 wireless network operators across Europe, Asia and the Americas. CellPoint Systems AB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Technor International Inc. (NASD OTC BB: TNOR) with operations in Europe and South Africa. The GSM World Congress is acknowledged as the major forum for the world's GSM industry and had over 3,500 conference participants in 1998. The new AU-System/CellPoint technology cooperation will be marketing the solution targeting commercial implementations with GSM Operators by this summer.
