Dell hits the concensus estimate of eps of 31c and misses the concensus sales estimate of $5.4b by 0.2bn and its as if the sky has caved in.These figures relate to a quarter not a year and are pretty irrelevant over the long term. The short termism of many investors is truly amazing. Dell's only fault is not to constantly dampen expectations like Gates does at MSFT. That way the consensus is always beaten. Suddenly what was a wonder company 3 weeks ago is now a dog. What a joke.
