Hey - thanks for the note back. Always love to chat to all who agree or disagree and like to try to add something to the treads once in a while. Reformed trader?? Na ! just got burned out. It's a young mans game if you do it every day. Not many 50 year old guys on the floor - it takes it's toll on everyone sooner or later when its an everyday event. Your only as good as your last trade in the fund game. To much internal politics involved in the business today. Not like it used to be. Legal dept. was always a pain and investors grind on you to. Decided to get an honest job :-) (Old trader joke.) Now I can do what I did without the headaches and accountability for ever trade for every guy on my run each morning. You wake one morning and realize it's a no win deal with your investors. When they make money it was their idea- when you lose it was yours. When your trades win they you did't do enough - when you lose you were over trading. Get's old real fast. But! Once a trader always a trader Get's in your blood. If anyone in the business reads this you know what I mean. It isn't even money after a while- just a way of keeping score. Equity run tells you who's winning the game every morning. It just burns you out to much to do it as a living - more to life then having to guess tomorrows action every day. And yes - no matter how good you sugar coat it with stats and annalysis - Brokers, traders and fund managers ,ecconomists, analysts and all the rest are all just fortune tellers in $800.00 suites folks. Today is history tomorrows a mystery - no matter how may PHD's are on the wall. Your as good as your last guess in this game. Hope to hear from you again.
