Why, absolutely! Almost anything served with escargots and caviar immediately becomes not just acceptable, but worthy of emulation. Replace that cheap blue Gap dress with something designer. And had Monica taken the time to set her phone conversations with Linda Tripp to recitative, ah-well, then we would have an affair worthy of international envy. Mozart could have done wonders for this cast. In fact, this may adapt excellently to the Marriage of Figaro.

I just hate to see us sink into decadence and moral apathy with so little savoir vivre. It's so unworthy of our great country. Surely we can stage a more elegant fin de siècle production than this? Instead of grand opera we get Grand Guignol burlesque.
