>>>>>And what do the little brick homes in Arlington Forest go for?<<<<<
If it was Fairfax, I could look it up on the Fairfax County Department of Taxation web site, tell you what it sold for last, and what it is appraised for. I don't know much about property values in Arlington, the kids are in GT and Arlington doesn't have as good a program as Fairfax - - which is by far the best in the metro region. I am looking at the paper, a 4 bedroom 3 bath rambler close to York High School lists for $349K, and a 4 bedroom 2.5 bath two story colonial, North Arlington, walk to Ballston Metro, lists for $446K. Ouch! I see a three bedroom brick colonial in North Arlington, walk to Ballston metro, for $309K, however.
I think the neighborhood you are talking about isn't as expensive, it's not that close to a metro, it's not that close to D.C., and its makeup has become, shall we say, cosmopolitan. Some of my favorite Vietnamese groceries, Iranian bakeries and Peruvian take-out chicken shacks are in that area. |
