Scumbria - Baffled at your message. Never worked for Intel. Just invested the equivalent of $1.25 a share in 1983 and again two years ago (That part has only quadrupled in two years). If only I had been shrewd enough to invest in AMD. My biggest problem is that Intel is now too large a portion of my portfolio (percentagewise). I'm sure you have the same problem with AMD. I would be MUCH poorer today if I had listened to the AMDroids in these threads in 96, 97 or 98. Hence I take your advice with a ton of salt. And I wouldn't be so quick to be sure that $140 is the top ever for INTC.

AMD has ALWAYS been a strange company with quirky management. I dealt with them (and Intel) in the 70s and early 80s. Never forget that AMD has (according to either Fortune or Forbes - I forget which) one of the five worst boards of directors on the planet - always a formula for stock success. They didn't come upon their lack of success by accident. They earned it. One thing that could cause me to re-evaluate my Intel holdings would be if Mr. Sanders moved on.

Best regards,
Burt
