Mike, that's true but the problem's in doing as they suggest are 1)which stocks do you include? 2) how and when do you decide your candidates are losing? 3) at what exact point do you sell losers? All this involves lots of judgement calls based on scanty information and thus many chances to make mistakes, especially since many of these decisions would be based on information only available to insiders. Excluding the known gorillas, the rest of the portfolio as a group didn't do well, especially considering the bull market since then. I just think that the "basket " idea is flawed. The rest of the book is great.
