Hey!

I think that would be something now wouldn't it? No more waiting on long lines....

I really liked the idea of using Digital Me in educational situations such as colleges or universitities. Students already have ID cards issued to them. Make them SmartCards and then they can use the library to take out books, sign up for classes, get grades, get access to labs or other "restricted" areas, the gym, and more.

Not to mention the Orwellian consequences of classroom sign-in, verification for final exams (don't laugh, at NYU we had to present ID to get into our final exams!) and a few more things I can't think of before my morning coffee.

Now I can see another place where Digital Me can really be of some immediate use -- phone calling cards. There are so many "long distance" resellers these days....but that may be overkill.

I'll let you know how things progress with our research into using Digital Me for our needs.

Thanks!
