BGR, I would rather forget the last lousy quarter and talk about the much worse quarters ahead that the Dell CFO is predicting. I know, I know, nobody on this thread will admit that the lower revenue growth and lower margins he is predicting will lead to lower eps growth. That would be like, reality, dude? <G>

Seriously, all the factors I talked about before the eps disaster came back to bite Dell. The market share loss is making them declare a price war to stop the bleeding in revenue growth figures. And they are going to be disadvantaged with overpriced Intel MPCs. They did not do the receivables pump this time as the insiders have already bailed at much higher prices after the last pump. And not even a "thanks, suckers," from mgt. <G> Even Dell admits that things look shaky for the Y2K problem.

BTW, they also said that 1Q and 2Q were "HISTORICALLY SOFT QUARTERS." You folks have proven to me that 4Q is seasonally weak. Boy, these geeks better have a dandy third quarter to support their multiple from the Moon. <G>
