In a spirit of debate, let me disagree. Whilst I am sure that Y2K panic will rear its head several times this year, I doubt we will see major rises in Y2K stocks like we have in the past. For the simple reason, that mass perception is that with so little time left, Y2K companies will not have enough time left to capitalise on this.

I'm not arguing about the reality that Y2k remediation will continue well into the next millenium, just about the fact that perception will be they have run out of time to clean up, and perception is what drives stock prices.

FWIW, The only 'Y2K' I now own is Sapiens which is more of a Euro & middleware company, and even then may be affected adversely by being associated with Y2K.
