That's old news. It's Intel and DEC in the NT lead. Intel with sales, Alpha with performance. The way I understand it, MSFT needs DEC's cluster technology to make NT a world wide threat. If that disapeared tomorrow, NT would have a lot of scrambling to do. If Intel disapeared tomorrow, all Microsoft's aplications would start running faster on DEC Alpha chips and noone would miss Intel. The Alpha will soon be the ONLY PROCESSOR RUNNING 64 BIT NT. It is already doing very well with 64 bit UNIX. You need 2 pentiums to make up 64 bits :-) gd
