Interesting mechanism you mention for charging interest. I must admit that this is something I have not thought of, and have not noticed (though now I'll of course have to check...). It just doesn't seem right though to go back and adjust charges, hmm....

Yup, I remember our conversations re CEFs. I still wish I could have borrowed Indonesia Fund (NYSE:IF) when it was at $5. C'est la vie (C'est la shorting? ;-)

My broker says that their "Treasury Department" negotiates special terms, such as paying interest on short proceeds. I told him that "Treasury Department" sounded pretty heavyweight to me, and he agreed. Seems like you need $10 million to get any sort of respect - guess a million bucks just ain't what it used to be ;-)
