Hello Mr. "Bear Down", Interesting mechanism you mention for charging interest. I must admit that this is something I have not thought of, and have not noticed (though now I'll of course have to check...). It just doesn't seem right though to go back and adjust charges, hmm.... Peter, Yup, I remember our conversations re CEFs. I still wish I could have borrowed Indonesia Fund (NYSE:IF) when it was at $5. C'est la vie (C'est la shorting? ;-) My broker says that their "Treasury Department" negotiates special terms, such as paying interest on short proceeds. I told him that "Treasury Department" sounded pretty heavyweight to me, and he agreed. Seems like you need $10 million to get any sort of respect - guess a million bucks just ain't what it used to be ;-) - Daniel
