Ingram Book Company and Columbia House
SEATTLE, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- SoundWorks International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin
Board: SOWK) -- a multi-media entertainment and marketing content company --
announces two significant new marketing achievements for its audio division.
First, the Company has signed a new distribution contract with Ingram Book Company
for its SpeechWorks imprint of spoken word CD's and AudioBooks. Ingram is the
largest wholesale book distributor in North America and is now a wholly owned
subsidiary of Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS). First release to go into the Ingram system
includes "The Greatest Speeches of All-Time."
Second, the Company has expanded its distribution with Columbia House, the largest
record club in the world. Columbia House is including music products by Jimmy Dorsey
and Woody Herman, The Sonics and others as well as spoken word products featuring
The Beatles and Princess Diana. Columbia House markets not only through its giant
record club catalog mailings but also has a major presence on the Internet.
Concurrently the Company has announced the official release of its new video edition of
"The Greatest Speeches of All-Time", featuring highlights of major speeches given by
Winston Churchill, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Harry S. Truman,
Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, General
Douglas MacArthur, and Malcolm X.
Other new releases in pre-production for marketing later in the year include nostalgia
music and/or spoken word products featuring Jimi Hendrix, "40 Big Band Hits", General
Douglas MacArthur, "The JFK Wit" and Frank Sinatra.
