Thanks Brees...

The area code for a phone number in Atlanta must be either 404, 770, or 678. So, if they gave you a 717 area code, something is messed up.

Also, I had a chance (finally) to drive to Stone Mountain yesterday. Now I am not saying it doesn't exist, but I could not find the address on 4th street. I'm usually pretty good at finding places, but I couldn't find this one. Again, doesn't mean it's not there.
It may be a week or two, but I will try to go back again and find it.

So here I sit, still holding a whole bunch of worthless stock, thinking that none of this really matters much to me unless or until the stock trades again. If it ever does, I cannot see myself holding it for too long. Midland, its subsidiaries, associates and friends, have taken up all the time and energy in my life that I am going to allow them to.

It doesn't matter if it is Steven King or somebody else. They are all the same in my book. The only thing that made King any different from the others is the fact that he did not disclose his compensation. Call it free enterprise, or justify it to yourself any way you have to. The bottom line is still that these people make a living by encouraging others to do something (buy) that may not be in their best interest, and they know it. Imo, morally, that is no different than the tobacco companies, and no different than a drug pusher on the street. Unfortunately, until someone changes the law, either by legislature or by civil case law, it is a protected, legal profession, and they buyer must beware.

I realize that I will probably be flamed and my loyalty to people whom I consider my closest friends will be questioned because I made that statement. All I can say to that is that it is possible to be someone's friend without liking what they do for a living, and sometimes you have to cross the lines of friendship to stand up for what is right. There are plenty of honest individuals who promote stocks for a living, and I know of at least one of them. However, by nature, the profession is a little less than desirable, and there are so many bad ones out there that the good ones will never have a chance.

Just My Opinion,

Binder
