You give Clinton too much credit. Check those figures again, Clinton never received 50% of the vote in 1996, he got @49% - a pitiful figure given that he marshalled the full force of the US government and the major media (not to mention all those illegal China $$$) in his all-out re-election drive. Stephanopoulos mentioned Slicks's failure to reach the 50% threshold of being a legitimate Prez.

So, despite their best, or rather worst efforts, the majority of voters rejected Clinton twice, a feat unmatched by any "winner" other than Wilson.

btw, amazing that GE just got that $1.7 Billion defense contract after they spiked the interview with the woman who claims she was raped by Clinton.
