Off (but related) topic.

Recently I've been looking at a company called I-Stat Corp. They manufacture fully automated blood analyzers and disposable test cartridges for point of patient care. According to their web site, their microprocessor based analyzers perform "a complete panel of the most commonly ordered blood tests in a simple 2 minute procedure...". They have a substantial number of patents and are partnered with Hewlett-Packard and Abbott Labs. What caught my attention was that back in August of '98, Abbott Labs purchased 2,000,000 shares of STAT at $11.35. Looks to me like HWP and ABT own roughly 25% of STAT between them. I'm a long term holder of BLUD so no hype, no spam. Was wondering if anyone on this thread had any thoughts, comments or opinions. The STAT thread here at SI seems fairly dead.
