Kevin,

re "What do you know about WAVX?"

Well, an old friend (known him well for over ten years) works as a technical consultant for them. He feels that WAVX will either be just amazingly huge, or a complete bust. He also told me some stories of the founders -- they have a history of some pretty fantastic success. I listened, and looked around, and think that there is in fact a chance that WAVX technology will become ubiquitous. If it does this company will be worth $800 a share, not $8.

Intel has validated the WAVX business model by announcing that they will add what WAVX already has to the Intel product line in three years. And WAVX seems to have already figured out how to address the privacy concerns that the Intel announcement raised. This fits the model of really good news (Intel validated, WAVX has a lead) or really bad news (will people get on the WAVX bandwagon before INTC takes the market away?).

I certainly think the kind of payoff that is possible with this breakthrough technology makes it worthwhile to park $4000 in the stock. That is the sort of amount that I can afford to put at total risk for a long shot big payoff. Of course people of greater or lessor means have to set a different price point -- but IMHO this is certainly a company worth putting into a risk-tolerant portfolio.

Rick.
