I am a buy and hold person.....of quality tech stocks...I buy for the long term...smile.. Dell just has a managing expectations problem....They willlearn to manage their salesforce...so that....they can match...both "short" and "long term priorities"... (long term is key...obviously...but with momentum players...the short term can really hurt if expectations are not met!) Expect more pressure on Dell margin...next time...(due to lowered pricing on boxes...) but they may make it up..with further production expertise/lowered cost of sales...or other higher margin products (the servers) Nothing has changed....AOL is still strong, as is DELL and MSFT.. I am thrilled that LU just announced a split...just have a few shares of it...but like the idea of them all getting to 4 digits!...and with the next split on LU will be there! Remember....I buy for "marketing" reasons....not "momentum"... if anything...when the rest are not buying..or scared...that's when I swoop in...(buy low!).. Some people look at technicals (charts) some look at fundamentals (P&L's), others look for hot stocks (momentum). I try to look at all that...but what drives...my purchase is a basic feeling for what consumers/the market wants and who can best deliver it...profitably! ...and I respect....leaders in companies...who understand this...and who have .... V I S I O N...cutting edge ability to perceive...needs and react to them....(Gates, Dell, Case) keep smiling....we'll all do fine......Mary
