Today, there were a large number of large block transactions. Block sizes were from 20,000 to 295,000(2). Many were 100,000. Does anyone have any idea as to what may be going on and if these blocks were buys or sells?

Nextel lurched down like most stocks today. I believe that PCS was the only telecom I follow that was up. WCOM got hammered after yesterdays run up.
