Gangyi, Intel only reduces the price of the network interface cards (NIC), not the switches. Those NICs are made by Intel. MRV makes switches, not NIC. The network interface cards are the cards that plugged inside the PC to let it talk to the network. Intel used to dominate the NIC business until it has been taken over by 3COM. Intel drops the price of the NICs to gain market share and to regain its leadership position. Bruce, Wait til Monday 2/10/97 for MRV to detail the business relationships with Intel, DEC, Fujitsu, and ??? You will not be disappointed. Mike.
