$Mogul - "The same technology and same product . . ." no, maybe similar in many ways, but EDIG has the only digital recorder that downloads to a PC using Infrared technology. It is also the only one to use Micro OS, so that sets it apart, too. Do the other company's devices have a bar-code scanner? The EDIG device does. I have not used any of these devices, so I can't say which is easiest to use, etc., but it appears to me there are some differences that set apart the EDIG (Lanier) device. Betty
