Thanks, Joe, for that clarification... I was going to say to all our AOL investor bretheren that "there is no such thing as a free lunch." For most people in the US, there is no meter on local dial-up telephone service, so the monthly fee for AOL is the extra $21.95/mo. subscription fee. I suspected that BT (following the French "minitel" model) incorporated a meter into the phone charge. I don't think that model would work well here.
