t2k and the rest of you >> Glad to see you here...
I do not think the average investor "thinks" too much as it is. They tend to "react" most of the time. I don't know how LindyBill and Uncle Frank do it...filling up their spare time with option trading to avoid being bored! Better nerves than me, I guess. I must admit, I have been watching the various boards for a while and I am pretty excited that Uncle Frank took the initiative to start this one. Koodos to you. We should all have a secret password so that when the nomads and 12 year olds show up, we shove off to start another board with no notice to the endless bickering we would leave behind.
FYI, I am new to all of you, but I have been with you in spirit for a some time. For the record, I am long stocks only, will not waste your time convincing you that a short-term mentality is the right one, and I certainly will not bad mouth your ideas provided you are willing to exchange information in an intelligent, civil format. I do not profess to be smarter than anyone else - I accept the fact that I may actually learn from other people in this environment.

DELL...SOLD YESTERDAY
INTC...Looking to buy soon
I am a firm believer in the "Gorilla" investing technique and have tried to orchestrate my portfolio accordingly. It has served me well for many years. Today marked the end of Dell's reign as a King-soon-to-be-gorilla and marked the beginning of its march towards King-possibly-becoming-a-prince. A major adjustment for the market to swallow. It will take a few days for this to be completely digested.
Looking forward, ATHM, AOL, CSCO, MSFT, EMC, GE, SUNW and INTC are safe bets to maintain their firm grip on their reigns as "Gorillas". I know some may argue that having AOL/ATHM and MSFT/SUNW as Gorillas may be a contradiction, but I believe they will be Gorillas in their own trees. Plenty of room in those forests for each of them.
I welcome all comments and hope that each of you welcome my perspective going forward. If you want, I will disappear and remain an interested reader as I have for some time. That is how I fill my "boring" moments throughout the day!!!
