DH, if I recall correctly from the Q2 conference call, Kumar said that although the shares were authorized to be repurchased, he thought that the repurchase program was essentially done. (ie, it had dragged CA off the canvas from 30s to the 40s). Unless something changed since the fall, I don't think CA is planning on going into the market to buy shares, but today's announcement is curious and may show another change in direction.
