Why then, do they insist on ceding the entire Java marketplace to other companies, and on tying themselves to a horrendously complex derivative of a derivative of a derivative of a poor copy of an 1970's floppy disk manager program (WindowNT/95/98, Windows, 3.1, DOS, QDOS).
Control It's a pathological obsession. They don't have control of JAVA, neither will they ever, as more seems to be the case. It's a pity Gates et al are more interested in control than putting out a real, competitive, a little-better-than-half-hearted-effort in making a so-called the-consumer-wanted-it-this-way products.

I am waiting, but not holding my breath, for win2000, a consumer NT, and most of all thier 'COOL'.. waiting ONLY to match thier claims and timelines to their deliverables. |
