Maybe you and Larry can put your heads together and give me examples of your "historical answers" to the free trade vs protectionism argument. While your at it provide a plausible explanation as to the reasons why the US will probably run a $300B trade deficit this year. On the other hand, forget about it. I think I know the drill. Adam Smith-"the invisible hand", etc., etc. Enough Asian studies. Back to earth with a thud. Quite a day. At least,Z, HTCH wasn't involved in the fray. Hope it continues. gb
