While I don't post on this thread, I have known Tim going back a ways, long before he was the beloved guru he is today. SI has changed a great deal, and it has become more than little painful to watch community undermined by people like vampire, threads like tmex and A@P's where sheep-like followers descend onto decent threads and make life miserable for all involved.

Maybe this is just natures way of saying its time to move on. The useful life of a place like SI isn't forever. Once the riff-raff discover it, it goes down hill fast. And that has been, and is, happening here. Look at what happened to MF and yhoo. Today, these places are either empty or cesspools.

Maybe Tim will start his own site. Maybe go to someplace new, like go.com where the community has yet to soiled. But don't bemoan his leaving SI. It's day is over anyway, unless you want to spend your time reading the spam and idiocy from people who wouldn't know an equity if they were hit over the head with it.
