Stephen, your analogy of the ISP's, RBOC's, FCC, etc. is good, but you are missing an entire thought process.

As pressures are applied by the RBOC's for a larger piece of the connectivity pie (switching costs) to support their infrastructure demands they are in effect trying to create another monopolistic consortium to drive the independents out of business. All to be paid for, with the burden, as always, being placed on the backs of we, John Q. Public.

The regulatory bodies realize this, but, the power of the lobbyist's in Washington DC are not to be denied.

How does one fight this?

Answer: Would if, a cost effective way was devised, by which the independent ISP was able to outperform the bureaucratic RBOC's at their own game. All it would take is somebody to be able to provide equipment that was affordable and that could be the glue to unite their efforts to thwart off the big boys. This would also drive a wedge into the RBOC's lobbying efforts and take away their claims?

Remember the Communications Act of 1996 stripped the monopolistic strangle hold the RBOC's had on their respective backyards.

Now add to this the ability to create your own private Internet channel that brings these Independents together under one roof, very similar to Cable Networks being subscribed to Turner channels, and you have a whole new ballgame. The RBOC's now have a new competitor to contend with just like NBC, ABC, CBS, had with FOX.

As I have been saying all along, Franklin TELECOM, is more than meets the eye, and if my guess is correct, you ain't seen nuttin yet.

So start thinking about the big picture, and things will fall into place. The string of news releases are all leading to something well beyond most peoples conception in my opinion.

Think small, be small, think big, be big. Trade now, cry later, hold and accumlate now, and you will be in a position to reap the big payoff later. That is my opinion.

As my favorite brat, Bugs Bunny says, "Hey Doc, get da Picturrrrrr!:
