if Gate goes to NYSE the spread will probably shrink to 1/8 or 1/16 which is good for both longs and shorts but it is harder to figure out what the spread actually is. The more stringent financial reporting etc conditions of the NYSE are unlikely to affect Gate at all. The main advantage to staying on NASD once the company becomes "real" is that its a bit easier to issue more shares, cook the books and so on with NASD rules than NYSE rules (but then again there is mercury financial <G>) Note that the conversion of IOMG to IOM apparently made little change in its volatility and other properties.

Pick the new symbol: how about G2K?
