Jim, the reason that I compared GTW to CPQ is that I would expect GTW to have much greater seasonality than CPQ, but it seems that CPQ shows a much greater Q4 increase. And that sequential server increase is mind boggling. Soooo .... I think you are absolutely correct.

CPQ's habit of financing A/R by factoring also lends credence to your conclusion, because factors aren't going to finance a deal where there isn't a real buyer.

Aggressively shoving inventory into the channel is also a nifty way of glossing over manufacturing inefficiencies. After all, the inventory isn't really yours if it's in the channel, right ....?
