I posted using the words 'farcical marriage' before i saw your reference to a 'travesty of marriage.' I agree so much with you.

I know a couple with a little boy who's now six or so. He is very very feminine. He has been feminine since he was a toddler. All his male cousins are very masculine little boys. This child dresses in his little girl cousin's clothes; he opens a gift and runs to the mirror to tie the bow on his head; his female cousin treats him like a little girlfriend, even insisting her mother get some 'lipstick' (chapstick) for this child when she got a tube for her. and his male cousins understand the dynamic too, without knowing they understand it. (Fortunately they are kind, nice children.) He acts and moves like a girl, he speaks like a girl. Whenever I see this dear boy, I am so glad that things are at least better for gay adults than they used to be. His life as an adolescent is going to be hell, thanks to the prevalence of ideas like Sidney's. The idea that this child made a choice about this is ludicrous.
