I had been told that The Executioner (Terra Nova Trading) was very fast and allowed stops to be placed. I was also told by one of their representatives that in a few weeks they were going to increase their "Mastershort list" from the current 1800 stocks to 11,000 through Prudential Securities. He continued to tell me about how they are upgrading their systems to higher bandwidth triple redundancy hardware. About two hours later, I was filling out their application, and I had a question, so I gave them a call. I got a recorded message stating something to the effect that the circuits were busy and to try my call again later. I tried repeatedly on the two numbers that I had to get through, but finally just gave up. Thank goodness I didn't have stocks going against me. I heard from another broker that Terra Nova is currently at or above their maximum on the bandwidth at their disposal. If they do indeed install sufficient hardware and get the additional shortable stocks from Prudential Securities, they could be a consideration for the near future, but for the present I'm staying away.
