Thanks for having me on board Doc!!

I totally agree the market is crazy. Its instability and unpredictability is driving the small investor out. At times stocks are up or down for no justifiable reason. Of course the Gurus out there always seem to find an explanation after the fact: Yeltsin is sick, Asia has the flu, Brazil raises interest rates, the President meets girl, girl meets president, etc., etc.

I'm in Montreal, earlier this year I had shares in a local company. Shares dropped nearly 40% because of crisis in Brazil (or something as trivial). Montreal is 10,000 miles from Brazil. The company sells locally. It does not export nor does it import. Why then did events in Brazil cause it to drop 40% in value???

I still can't understand it.
